Welcome Spring
Flowering Almond
It will still likely be almost two months until this Flowering Almond tree in my front yard blooms this year, but on this sunny first day of Spring the wait doesn't seem so long at all.
The flowering almond is a beautiful flower. I had one but somehow it died. The flowering quince are blooming in this area and the dogwood trees have the small greenish flowers now. Helen
Oh! I remembered those from the childhood as soon as I saw the photo. Hadn't seen one in decades, and I never knew what they were, and now, all this time later, I do! Thanks!
I love flowering almonds.
ReplyDeleteLook at those blooms! Mine is barely opening yet.
