We have a game camera and will be putting it up soon and will try to capture some deer. I have seen them on our trail, but have been unable to photograph any yet. I have to wait till there is no threat of high water, as one of our trails where the deer travel is near the creek. I love your discription.
Beautiful picture, beautiful poem. Trust is a big issue with all wildlife when we intrude on their habitat and stalk them with our cameras :-) Sometimes I almost feel guilty for disturbing them, but that doesn't stop me from coming back with my camera again and again. Hoping they will become curious and not fearful :-)
mary: Trust and respect, a couple of very important key factors when observing the wildlife and birds that we share our world with. I try never to intrude and the great thing about a telephoto lens is that you can watch from a distance. I often take a lot of pictures from my car for once I step out of it my designated subject is often gone, fleeing or flying.
Great capture and wonderful words to go with it.. thanks for sharing.
