This is a Zebra Butterfly photographed in the Florida Keys during the early 2000's with my first digital camera, a Sony Mavica..

Second zebra butterfly today, but I could never get tired of them. They are so beautiful. Great job capturing it :)

ReplyDeleteGoodness, another Zebra Swallowtail. That is a great coincidence--or not since it is Z today. But since you took it a few years ago, have you seen many recently? I wonder, as Nina says they are becoming rare because of loss of habitat in her area.

ReplyDeleteThe Zebra Swallowtail is a different species from the Zebra butterfly that I have posted. The Zebra butterfly I have shown belongs to the Heliconian group and is usually only found in Florida and Texas. My photo was taken in Florida.
This is a new butterfly to me! So sweet! Butterflies are constantly on my way, I believe it's a good sign! :) Great choice to finish this ABC round!
