These birds were at a fair distance and I have had to crop the photos to check out this distinctive colour characteristic of this large shore bird. These pictures were taken at Saint Rest Marsh at the Irving Nature Park on Oct. 29
I have always loved this yellow legs feature. This group is the first yellow legs we have seen this year.

Those yellow legs sure do show up easily. I can never identify the sandpipers when I see some. They tend to all look alike.
