Goldeneye head throwing
The above photo shows 'head throwing', a mating ritual of Golden eye Ducks. We saw many Goldeneye ducks yesterday in the Saint John river while travelling alongside it when driving on highway#105 at Maugerville and Sheffield.
We don't see too many Goldeneyes here except during migration, and I didn't know about this mating ritual. Thanks for the info. Love your deer header. B.
That is fascinating behaviour.Jake and I were privileged to watch some of this last year.
