Lingering Mallards in the Saint John at Oromocto
The photo above shows two male ducks. The one on the left in the forefront I assume is a male Mallard. The other male with the dark head is maybe a hybrid of a black Duck and a Mallard? Their appearance is a bit confusing to me.
Nice shots!! The other duck looks a bit like an 'American Black Duck.' I know they are often together. I found a link, and it kind of looks like it - http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/American_Black_Duck/id
Nice Mallard shots, are they not usually there. We seem to see mallards year round here.
