On May 19, 2012, my daughter and I took a boat tour with O'Briens out of
Bulls Bay, Newfoundland.The tour took us out to the Witless Bay
Ecological Reserve. We saw thousands, upon thousands of birds, including, Atlantic Puffins, Common Murre and thousands of cliff nesting Kittiwakes.
The sightings of the Kittiwakes on Green Island were fabulous. from
the boat we were able to take many, many pictures, some of which I
include for your viewing today

Sea bird colonies are some of the best places to go birding - nice set of pictures.

Great shots- I've not ever seen a colony of birds up close.
ReplyDeleteI love visiting sea bird colonies.... the landscapes are normally stunning so you get the best of both worlds. Those nests look well used dont they...lol
