My first sighting of a
Sharp-shinned Hawk in our feeder area occured this week. This red-eyed, hooked beak, handsome plumaged accipiter

perched in our High Bush Cranberry tree and surveyed its surround -ings. Not having located any small birds to pursue in the area; after a few moments it left.
Wow, the first picture is especially great. Glad to hear it didn't get to eat any birds though.
