Shelter From the Storm

Today was our first 'real' winter storm day with snow and blowing snow since early afternoon and its still ongoing. Our bird feeder area was very busy and one of the most favourite feeding spots was this wooden Blue Jay with its middle full of homemade peanut butter and cornmeal suet. In some cases it also proivided temporaty shelter from the storm as this little Black-capped Chickadee huddled up against it.
