Red Leaves

Well, here it is, almost mid-August, and we are already starting to get a few hints of the seasonal changes to come with the approach of September. Last week I photographed these red Maple leaves that have already changed colour. These are the exception, rather than the rule, but a few early ones can always be found, giving us a hint that those lazy, hazy days of summer and humid heat will soon be drawing to a close.

Beautiful ruby reds, and a real reminder to get out there and make the most of the summer we have left.

Red leaves already? I did just chomp on my first crisp macintosh apple. Beautiful rendering of the leaves.

Oh goodness, let's not go there, but I have seen them around here too sneaking up on us.
Happy RT.

Very beautiful, but I sure hate to think about changing leaves already. I love fall, but don't want to rush into winter. I like that second shot with the spotted trunk behind.

I love maple leaves in Autumn especially but yikes...isn't this a bit early for colors changing?

I love the fall though...

Nature makes the best colors.

I'm actually looking forward to the end of summer. I prefer the cooler days.
