I love this turtle. If I were to have a pet I would want it to be a turtule! This one is very handsome! Happy Ruby Tuesday, Ann!

Fun angles on the turtle. I like the one where he's half in the water, half out. Nature makes such pretty turtles!

Love the turtle. Now I read that claws in front mean a male and claws in the back mean a female..So it looks like a male?

Ohh...love it. What great color on this guy.

I see lots of these turtles, but never this closeup. Great colours. No wonder they are called Painted Turtles.

Whoa! that is very cool. I really like these shots of the turtle...

Love them hanging out on logs - especially when they are stacking! :)
Great shots!

The reds and yellow are nearly iridescent or day-glo. Stunningly detailed and, if it could be said of a turtle, striking. Stylish if plodding, and happily not camouflaged!

Mine's HERE. Happy Tuesday!

This is the reddiest painted turtle I've ever seen. Cool!

It's obvious why this creature got the name Painted Turtle. I didn't realize they had so much red trim. Great photos for Ruby Tuesday.

Beautiful painted turtle! You really captured the red in the first shot. I put up my first Ruby Tuesday this week.

These are great images of the turtle. The red is a real surprise.

These are wonderful! I didn't expect the color at all. What a beauty! I love the middle photo... but it's a close call between that and the first one for my favorite.

Well again we learn something: I didn´t even know there existed turtles coloured this way... it has an almost dangerous look!

Terrific photos, great to have such detail. Love the middle one - is it me or does he looks a little high centered? That happened to me once in my old Dodge Shadow when I foolishly went a little bit off-road with it. I'm sure turtles are much smarter about such things.

Great shots and fully explains the "painted" in turtle.

This is a beautiful painted turtle! I have never seen one quite this red. I wonder what it has been eating? Gorgeous.

Cool! The first one really shows the red. The second one - it looks as if it's holding on for dear life :-)
