Red-tailed hawk for Ruby Tuesday

I have nothing new for Ruby Tuesday today, but rather these older photos showing the 'red tail' of a Red-tailed Hawk. The hawk seems to proudly displayed its colouredtail, the source of its name.

To view other contributions to Ruby Tuesday and to perhaps contribute your own just click on the Ruby Tuesday badge on the right column. Happy Ruby Tuesday to all.

Quite fierce looking if you ask me!

Nice capture of the hawk. Perfect for RT. It's not easy to get them to pose showing off their pretty tail feathers.

I like seeing Hawks. We usually don't have many, but this year there seems to be an abundance of them. Great pictures Ann.
Happy RT.

When I see them, I never seem to see the red tail, so this is nice getting such a good view of it! Great photos!

I never saw this kind of hawk. I am glad that you have taken a photo of it that close. Great job.

Great view of the red tail. We only seem to have ring-tails here.
