How pretty! I just love seeing pictures of deer in people's yards! I'm jealous! We actually have them here, but they never come close to the house or feeders and I never see them.

Five in all in our yard last evening; and they are so gentle looking! It is not easy for them to find food with so much snow still around so they are attracted to our yard as there is food in our feeders. At the same time two Raccoons showed up too and were feeding at the same time.

How beautiful! I would love to have them in my yard, but they've never visited me at this house. It must have been fun to see the raccoons, too.

I wish I could be more original or poetic...but they are gorgeous. I would never tire of them visiting. I work at a wild bird supply store, and we had a customer in yesterday who purchased 5- 50# bags of cracked corn to feed the deer. They can eat a lot!

They come to my yard each day now, usually in the early evening; last night there were eight. They are hungry and the attraction to them is the remaining bird food left at the end of the day.

nw nature nut:
They can eat a lot and while many of the fields around here are still snow covered they seek food at bird feeders. And yes, they are lovely. I never tire of watching them as they arrive.

Thank you for your visits and comments; they are much appreciated. I enjoy visiting your blogs also and viewing the beautiful eagles, wildlife and beautiful scenery of the west coast.

Actually I have briefly talked with you before about photography. I admire your excellent work and your photo blogs which are filled with beautiful photos of New Brunswick. And if I can find an email address I will respond privately to you. Glad that you enjoyed and thank you for your kind comments.

Wow- those deer must be hungry. Very nice photos. I'm glad that those deer have found a trusting haven in your yard. It still looks really cold up there- but spring it is a coming. :) Have a great day!

The days still start with a below freezing temperature reading outside our windows but the strong sun soon raises it above the freezing mark and each day the grassy spot on our front lawn gets larger and larger. The deer don't really give us a choice, and we do get annoyed when they nibble on our bushes and shrubs but they are beautiful and hungry, and when they appear we don't drive them away.

You're so lucky to get those nice deer pictures....I wish my deer would visit in the daytime! There were 5 of them in the backyard at 1 AM this morning, but I couldn't stay awake very long to watch them.
