Thousands of Skippers
myraids of skippers filled the air as we walked through the meadow
some blossoms had more than their share hosting five or more( Click to enlarge to count the five!)
e of the tiny creatures. Some butterflies were in the meadow like this Northern Crescent
on this Brown -eyed Susan below. One skipper hurrying to feed tangled its
proboscis over its antenna.
Among the thousands there were many picturesque sights.
Some as if crossing swords with their antennaeThe sun was as the wind is to falling leaves inviting activity dispersing beauty about the meadow
beauty was everywhere!Today is a sunny day , perhaps I'll return to the meadow again today.

I love the picture of the first one on the daisy.
What a terrific post! Don't you love it when you find so many in one area? It's a party!

wow...I've never seen so many skippers at once! That northern crescent is a new one for me, too. All of them look so pretty on the flowers. I walked through a meadow today, but sure didn't see that many butterflies!
I don't think I have ever seen more than one Skipper. You have shown so many. Love it!
