Around four yesterday afternoon a small swarm (flock of Common Redpolls swooped into Bird Alley In the photo above they perched on the branches of our Manitoba Maple Tree arranging themselves side by side. I was so happy to see these little birds arrive as I haven't seen much lately to focus my camera on.
Pleased to see my old friend the Grey Jay. I have encountered him all across this vast country. He has several aliases as follows; Gorby,Whiskey Jack, and one more I cannot recall. However, always a friend to share a sandwich or treat with, in the bush.

There are 63 covered bridges in the province of New Brunswick and I love finding them in those 'out of the way' places. I have photographed most all of them, with only about 4 or 5 yet to locate. I still have many photos yet to post on my New Brunswick Covered Bridges blog. If you would like to visit and see more pictures of Covered Bridges, just click on the picture above.

I'm glad you had these pretty birds to focus your attention on! We're half way through the winter and then the light and the birds will return! ;-)WBW
