Yellow-collared Scape Moth or Virginia Ctenucha?

I think this is a very interesting looking moth. I found this species on a patch of Black-eyed Susans and also on the leaf of a Common Milkweed plant. The Yellow-collared Scape Moth and the Virginia Ctenucha are very similar looking and I am not sure which one this is.

That really is one cool looking moth!
Orange and blue - you don't see that too often! Good work!

Hmm, I've never seen one of these.
Good shots. It was near 90ยบ here today. Not much fun outdoors.

How do you do it? I have such a hard time with the insects. They move around too much. That is a great shot!!!

Love your rudbeckia shot. Great angle. I've got those all over my yard. You are inspiring me to look for the insects on top of the flowers.

They are most often there with amazing and astonishing detail and design!

I took this with my canon rebel and my zoom lens. Your new camera should be great for this sort of thing. Good luck!

Cooler weather here today (I hope). Glad you enjoyed this colourful moth.

The colours on this little creature remind me of VanGogh's colour choices in some of his paintings.

Glad that you enjoyed, thank you for your comment.

Don't know how I missed this! I like that first picture and it's unusual perspective, but also love the bottom one with the yellow flower setting it off so nicely.
