How to Start Your Day With Wonder
How to start your day with wonder
Get up and look out the window
Gasp!
Grab your brush and run it through your hair
Quickly throw on yesterday's clothes
Hurry downstairs
Grab your camera and car keys
Rush out the door
Jump into your car
Its a very mild +10 so no need to clear your window's of frost
Drive down the road and around the bend and turn at the corner
Rush out onto the observation deck overlooking the river
Absorb the beauty
Relax and enjoy
Wow!!
Then heed the old saying
"Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning"
And return home and wait for the storm forecast for later in the day

WOW!and again WOW! Who cares about the weather to come, just enjoy the beauty while it lasts.
This is really beautiful. The red hues are awesome. I can just imagine I would do the same.... if I could get up early enough. LOL! What we won't do to get a great shot. :-)
I love cotton candy mornings, but I see such sights mainly in the evening.
What a beautiful sunrise.
That dawn is breathtaking. Wish I was there.
I feed the cats, the birds and then me..in that order..We have a storm coming too..Love the header photo..
If it really is a warning then it makes for a stunning photo.
That red-orange against the blue is so striking! What an amazing photo. Have a wonderful Sunday!
We have had a number of cloudy days and rain. But early mornings have offered some clear sky with the cloud, a perfect recipe for a spectacular sunrise. And you captured it beautifully.
This post put a big smile on my face! Hope the rest of your day is equally good, and that you fare well in the coming storm. It's been blow-y here for a couple of days, will need to get squeegeeing after it settles down, the wind carries spray from the waves on Lake Erie and puts a gray film on my back windows.
P.S. I loved that you stopped to brush your hair first!!!
Wow...that is wonderful! Beautiful! Great color! Hard to believe that such wonderful skies can mean a storm. Absolutely gorgeous!....I probably would have skipped brushing my hair :-)
Your poem is as wonderful as the stunning photo! I feel the same way often when I glimpse natural beauty, and no matter how much I try to capture what I see with a camera, it often just doesn't do it justice. Thanks so much for sharing !
I'm glad you are still adding birds to your October list. I haven't had anything new in quite a while. My yard has been very quiet. I think a hawk might be hanging around. I always enjoy getting caught up with your blog. You always have great photos to linger over.
i love your photography! wonderful shots!!
We absolutely love the post! Thanks!
Gasp and gasp again. What an incredible pic and such sage advice to go with.
Wonderful post as usual Ann, thank you for sharing your incredible talents. I always love stopping by.
Hugs, G
The photo of the Warbler is really good, I love birds and feed them all the time, I don't think I have a Warbler.
We had the same exact sky here Sunday morning. It was a fairly nice day till about 4pm. Then it rained briefly, and then cleared up again.
Yours is gorgeous.
Gorgeous - what a wonderful sky!
Cheers, Klaus
Beautiful - and you did all that before coffee!
WOW, this is breathtaking, and certainly worth getting up early for!
thanks for sharing,
