Spider
Yesterday, while selecting an old post to be recycled as a bird feeder pole, my husband called me to see the spider that he found crawling on it. Can you see its eyes? I wonder if it was in search of a place to lay eggs for it looks very full and round. I am not sure of its name but while doing an image google search I found some that looked similar to this one that were labeled as European Garden Spiders? I am not sure if this is one of not?

Oh my! Your spider gave me shivers up and down my spine. Great shot!
Beautiful! I love the striped legs.
Awesome shot!! Very cool and creepy and yet beautiful too.
What a fascinating macro. I admire spiders, but know little about them.
What a beautiful spider. The colors and patterns are amazing.
He is beautiful! and boy did you capture all the detail!
Those are wonderful shots..why can't I get over my spider phobia. I am getting better as I don't squeal with I see them anymore so that is progress...
I got shivers from that shot, and I don't mind spiders, I just give them their own space. Good eye on that husband of yours.
This is a very interesting little spider. Such camoflauge markings too, and so plump. Great shots of it. Most spiders don't hang around very long for too many pictures.
The patterns on the body look really neat.Great pictures.
Spectacular photo and stunning spider. I've never seen one myself, but I think it is a marbled orb weaver. The pattern on the back can be variable. She is the prettiest one I've seen a picture of-very ornate. I think they are most common in the northern US and southern Canada, but I could be wrong on that.
Terrific find. Way to go-so many people don't look for the small and beautiful!
Wow, that is one amazing spider!!!
Speaking of amazing, love your glorious autumn header. Wonderful.
