A Cardinal flower for Ruby Tuesday

This most beautiful red wildflower can be found along the rocky ledged shores of our river. A special trip last week to see if I could find it resulted in this photo so appropriate for Ruby Tuesday. To check out other postings on Ruby Tuesday just click on the Ruby logo on the side bar. My appreciative thanks to Mary/the teach for hosting this meme.

I first met the cardinal flower at Leaming's Run Gardens. So many bloom along the run. So beautiful.

I love these too! I magaged to grow them successfully in pots when I lived in the foothills, took a lot of watering and coaxing, but they were wonderful, and the hummers enjoyed them!

I recently posted some of these flowers too. I had never seen any around here till we took a walk around a local lake. There were only 3 plants, but they looked healthy.
