The Eastern Phoebe has returned to the Currie House!
The Currie House is home to the Sunbury Historical Society and the grounds there feature a beautiful Art Park along the walking trails through the Currie Woods and the Gaspereau Falls. On Wednesday we walked through the trails there and when returning to the area of the buildings we saw a familiar sight! An Eastern Phoebe! I wonder how many bird memory generations it has been now that this species has returned to this location to nest? Every since we have been birdwatching beginning in 1999, we have seen Eastern Phoebe there! Isn't it amazing that such a determined return occurs each year?!. This sighting certainly renews my faith and belief in something wonderful and powerful that such a small bird can accomplish such a feat! Wow! Welcome back little bird!
