about my header photo above.

HAPPY IN MUD
IN THEIR MANSION IN THE EAVES
CLIFF SWALLOW LOVE.
Cliff swallows build their nest from mud pellets gathered in a mud puddle. I have watched them do this.  They return to this same location each year.  You can see the outline of their nest built here previous years which had been removed by the building owners.  This nest was built new this year.

Nice photo. We used to have swallows nesting under our front porch. Very messy but nice to have them to eat the bugs.

They look cozy. The nests built by all the birs are truly amazing.

I think that their nests are so fascinating to look at and watching them make it must be really interesting. I know where some were last year under a bridge, so I need to go look and see if they have built new nests yet. Maybe I'll get lucky and see them working on them.
