Looking Around Outdoors.
I also found quite a springy , green grasshopper on the railroad ties as I was walking alongside the rail tracks
I also noticed that the Lupines are beginning to come into bloom. Soon the gully between the railroad tracks and the parking lot above will be full of their colourful spikes. There is so much to check up on and see. I shall have to retrace this walk early tomorrow morning. Until then. Ann.
Oh,I love the Lupins.I wish they grew wild here, but we have lots in the garden.
Swallow nests are so fascinating! I would like to watch them building it. Lupines are gorgeous! I would like to see fields full of them. I never see them around here.
Regarding lupines, if you enjoy reading an occasional children's book, you might enjoy Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney...a sweet lupine tale.
