Swimming against the current for watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday




Sometimes you can see a flash of silver telling you that they have flipped over as they float back down over the falls that they have just encountered.
                                                        This one has made it through.!
When I go to the falls I wander around the woods there
 looking for wildflowers like the purple violets above.
Yesterday I found Wood Anemone in bloom.

I have never seen the fish swimming upstream to spawn - only photos and on TV. It is amazing, even so. One day, I will see it in reality.

wow. fabulous photos! i've seen salmon swimming upstream at the fish ladder in Seattle. truly amazing!

Wow! The fish photo is amazing. I've always read about those species that return upstream to spawn, but never actually seen it in real life.
