Road Map of a Leaf

Earlier this week I had found some miniature baby yellow spiders and after that encounter I had decided it was time to purchase a good macro lens. I was quite anxious to try it out and so when it arrived yesterday I went in search of smaller creatures that I usually don't include in my photography landscapes. Below are a few pictures of a beautifully designed little beetle that I had discovered.

How far is the moon?
Will I get there before noon?

Should have followed that detour sign
When I started out on this climb

A refreshing rest for a time
While enjoying this beautiful coastline

Oh boy....I can see you are going to spend lots of time with this new toy :-) What fun! That is a beautiful beetle. I don't think I have ever seen one that color or pattern. Very pretty.....sort of lavender/silver. Your lens really brings out the details! Can't wait to see more great shots!

Oh good that you want to see more for I can sometimes overdo it when I get a bit enthused over something. The lens is really satisfying to use as it does pick up a lot of detail and allows me to get much closer than before!

I've never seen this patterned one before either and I looked through my insect field guide but didn't find it(yet). It is beautiful isn't it; makes me want to spend more time at this sort of photography.

Beautiful pattern on that bug. And I like the rhyme too. Lovely content!

I do love the pattern and design and the rhyme was just for fun, inspired by the beetle's searching.

It is fascinating, finding all this with a closer perspective on it all the tinier creatures now nearer within my view.

As a rule, I'm not that fond of bugs, but this little guy is very cute. Wonderful photos.
