Seven American Robins for Worldbird Wednesday
On the weekend past a real treat for winter weary eyes! "Seven"!!!!!! handsome American Robins arrived in our yard at bird alley! Never before have we experienced such a large group of robins sighted in our yard before during the month of February. Their presence(presents) today was a very beautiful and welcome sight!!!!
The stout round red bellies of these most colourful birds reminded me of Santa and I wonder if we might consider these Robins as Seasonal Santas, bringing with their surprising visit: their gifts of hope and optimism allowing us to dream of the possibility of welcoming an early spring.
Perhaps they encountered that other seasonal fortune teller, Mr. Groundhog, earlier this week when we learned from him of the possibility of an early spring! Robins and groundhogs are both welcome harbingers of spring! I could not be happier in believing in both of these 'good news' season forecasters.

Gorgeous photos! I'm envious. I've been taking pictures of robins in our yard and haven't managed to get any, as sharp and colourful as these. Great pictures of your robins.
This winter I've been hearing robins several times a week unlike most winters when they stay quiet in the woods. Our groundhog saw his shadow, too. The robins and I are both sad about that.
I love the way you edited your photos.

What great photos, and I also love the way you edited them! Knowing we're probably not going to have much of a winter, has me craving spring now!!
Enjoy your weekend!!
Gorgeous shots of the Robins. Very nice to see seven of them together in your yard. They are a treat. Happy Sunday!
omigoodness. their brilliance just knocks me out.
Beautiful series.
I also have been noticing and abundance of Robins around my yard here in Tennessee. Here's hoping their presence is an indication of an early Spring! :) (crossed fingers)
Wonderful photos of the robins. Haven't seen them in my part of Ontario yet, but I'm always listening and looking.
Lovely Robins.
Very different to ours here; apart from the red breast.
Many thanks for sharing your lovely Robin... So different to ours in the UK but yours was used in the film Mary Poppins set in London... confused me as nine year old..
Your images are superb.
Beautiful and colorful birds. Great photos.
Great to see them. Here they mean spring!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I love Robins, they just seem to cheer us onward!!!
I love your expressionistic slant. Very refreshing.
I did see a lonely early robin this week. Worms are in short supply so I'm recomending to all my robin friends holding off on travel plans for another month or so.
Cheers!
Gorgeous color on the robins! Love your effects, too!
